Atlanta, GAInnovative Roofing Group replaced the roof at The Weather Channel’s corporate headquarters. Finishing ahead of schedule, Innovative Roofing Group tore off the existing coal tar pitch roof and replaced it with a W. P. Hickman built-up roof system.
The task included working around the multiple satellite dishes, in addition to time constraints. The crew worked after hours, at night and on weekends, in order to meet scheduling requirements.
Atlanta, GAIf you live, work, or shop in midtown, you may have noticed improvements being made to the roof at Ansley Mall one recent summer. Or you may not have noticed, since the IRG crew did its best to unobtrusively replace major roof areas while all of the shops in Ansley Mall remained open for business. The property management and the tenants of Ansley Mall were particularly pleased with the way that Innovative Roofing Group’s superintendent stayed in constant communication with the store managers, so that they could anticipate the roof work that would take place on any given day, making any minor adjustments necessary in order to keep business operations running smoothly.
Customer Feedback on the Ansley Mall project:
“The Ansley Mall re-roofing project is going exceedingly well, and a great deal of its success can be attributed to your field superintendent, Teri Stallion. She has been instrumental is keeping the job on track and in ensuring that our tenants’ operations are not disrupted.”

(formerly The Grosvenor)The Regal Sun Resort at Disney World (formerly known as The Grosvenor) was a challenging project, according to IRG superintendent Teri Stallion. When asked what made the project such a challenge, she responded, “There were so many different roof levels and I had to think about them and plan in order to have special setups, for instance we had a hoist on the tower roof.” The tower roof was 29 stories up, and the Innovative Roofing Group crew needed to lower the remains of the old roof down to the lower levels and then into dumpsters. This was a job that took a lot of planning, but the planning paid off and the project turned out beautifully.
It is not unusual for Innovative Roofing Group to head to Florida a couple times a year. For Palmetto Park Square in Boca Raton, Innovative Roofing Group, Inc. removed 137,000 square feet of coal tar bitumen roofing, and replaced it with 2-inch ISO insulation and a 60 Mil TPO roof. Challenges of this job included the coal tar bitumen, which contains creosote, a substance that can irritate and burn the skin. Workers took precautions to use skin-protecting gel and to wear pitch hoods. Florida’s frequent pop-up showers kept the workers alert and on their toes, ready to adjust operations as needed. All work was performed per the Miami-Dade 140 mph wind zone compliance.
Customer Feedback on Palmetto Park Square:
“It has been a pleasure to work with Ms. Stallion (Innovative Roofing Group’s field superintendent). She was very courteous with our tenants and has been willing to go out of her way to accommodate needs. She was very knowledgeable and kept the workplace clean... the work was always done on time.”

Atlanta, GAInnovative Roofing Group Inc.’s Seaboard Industrial roof replacement project involved about 120,000 square feet of roof replacement. Aspects that made the project more challenging were the surplus of 400 roof penetrations that required removal, and the fact that the tenant was open for business during the project. There were no incidents and the roof was completed on time and on budget.
Customer Feedback on Seaboard Industrial:
“In my opinion, the daily communication about potential hazards and the proactive approach of your company made this project a success from the very beginning.”

This project achieved a first place Build Georgia award from the Association of General Contractors in Georgia.
Atlanta, GAThe District at Howell Mill was among the more massive feats performed by Innovative Roofing Group in recent times. A uniquely planned urban shopping center, it features retail, dining and residential amenities. Visible from I-75, The District at Howell Mill encompasses 350,000 square feet. Demanding aspects of this job were the sheer number of roof sections and the many construction superintendents to whom each subcontractor had to report. The Wal-Mart portion of this project was built under the shopping center, and Innovative Roofing Group installed the roof with only 7 feet of clearance above.
