Innovative Roofing Group Responds to Atlanta Tornadoes

Severe weather is an upsetting matter that can cause upheaval in the lifestyles and work routines of a community for indefinite periods of time. Atlanta had a share of extreme weather in March 2008, when tornadoes touched down in the heart of the city. The storm winds and hail caused serious damage to many buildings located downtown and in the surrounding area. Innovative Roofing Group’s crews were out on the same night after the storm subsided, and the next morning, covering the Fulton Industrial area. IRG temporarily covered over 200 broken skylights. There were no damages to the interior contents of any of the affected tenants. All of the skylights were efficiently replaced. The quickness with which the situation was handled was greatly appreciated by the client, especially in the face of the subsequent rain in the days after the tornado. The senior property manager of Selig Enterprises, remarked, “What is critical in a crisis situation is how one responds to the crisis. The response of IRG to our storm damage crisis was tremendous. Before we had even made the call for service, IRG crews were en route to the affected areas. IRG’s quick response and thorough attention to securing our roofs from water intrusion undoubtedly prevented serious damage to our tenants’ goods and services. Within hours the apprehension of not knowing the extent of our crisis was replaced with the comfort of knowing we had the right people on the job, Innovative Roofing Group.”
