Innovative Roofing Group welcomes a good challenge as evidenced by a massive project that would send many other roofing companies running the other way. Innovative Roofing Group Inc.’s Seaboard Industrial roof replacement project involved about 120,000 square feet of roof replacement. Aside from the sheer enormity of the project, another aspect making the project more difficult was more than 500 roof penetrations, such as old HVAC units, equipment and deteriorated roof deck which had to be removed and patched before the roof could be replaced. But the biggest challenge was that all work was completed while the building’s tenant was open for business. “There were no injuries, it was completed on time and on budget,” said Greg Lewis, chief executive officer of Innovative Roofing Group, Inc. “That’s what we’re most proud of.”
“A lot of contractors tend to shy away from this type of job because of the degree of difficulty. It was one of the more difficult projects that we have done, but it’s the type of work we look for and we welcome with open arms,” he added.
